Our Story

Better Tallow was born from a deeply personal place.

It began when our family was trying to conceive and became more intentional about the products we used every day, especially skincare. We wanted truly clean, effective options made with ingredients we recognized and trusted, while also supporting small, local farms that shared our values.

When we welcomed our first child - around the same time one of our parents was diagnosed with breast cancer - our commitment to non-toxic living became even stronger. What went on our skin mattered just as much as what went into our bodies. We needed skincare that was safe, nourishing, and effective, without unnecessary additives or hidden toxins.

What started as a small project in our home kitchen quickly grew into something more. Friends and family began asking for the products we were making for ourselves. And before we knew it, Better Tallow became a way to offer other families the same peace of mind we were seeking - skincare you can trust, made with care and intention.

Every Better Tallow product is crafted with locally sourced, grass-fed and grass-finished suet, rendered in-house to ensure the highest level of purity and quality. We do the research, sourcing, and refining -, so you don’t have to.
